So a while back I men­tioned going back to school. In fact, I even recall writ­ing a col­lec­tion of arti­cles all about the sub­ject. I’m sure I’ve men­tioned it in my twit­ter (or at the very least, bitched about it). Well unlike the real world, Col­lege gives you large, void-​filled breaks between semes­ters. This allows people like me ample time to run out of excuses for things we should have either done, or been doing during the aca­d­e­mic time frame.

In my case this revolves around:

• My portfolio
• Posts with real content
• Read­ing books
• Spend­ing time with Theresa while she is down from that god-​forsaken place North Bay.
• Aim­lessly trying to catch up on my games

Now since only a couple of those are actu­ally proac­tive (I’ll leave you to decide which) I have to pick and choose what and when I do these things. What is the result? Well to give you a glimpse, it’s almost 2 AM as of the start of this post. This is after I applied to many, many bur­saries through my school. Who knew that work­ing two jobs wouldn’t be enough to actu­ally stay out of debt? Guess I’ll have to get some more!

My finan­cial woes are not what I plan to talk about today though. I plan to talk about what I can take away from my first semester.

Okay, tech­ni­cally this would be my sev­enth semes­ter if you are count­ing the six from the last time I was in school. That is also part of this so read on!

Let’s have a little fun with this post. The idea came to me ran­domly through the evening, and by now it’s been stew­ing in my brain for just long enough to have it start to make sense. I could also be going a tad insane from school, but I have no way of prov­ing that as of yet.

So here’s the idea: I’m going to pick a word at random, and then con­tinue writ­ing down all the words and first thoughts I have based on that word and every­thing that fol­lows. Things may not actu­ally follow in a fluid pat­tern. I’m sure this will be a clear window into the dark regions of my mind. To stop out­side influ­ences, I am per­form­ing this with­out any music, Tele­vi­sion or other stimulus.

You’ve been warned.

I saw Indi­ana Jones. It didn’t suck, but it comes out 3rd on the overall list.

I’ts a great word­press plugin, but it breaks my posts some­times. Don’t know why, but it totally freaks out and refuses to dis­play con­tent if I’ve got cer­tain char­ac­ters in my header. It is now turned off.

Seri­ously, I do. I never used to hate them, but they just keep attack­ing me. As a result, spi­ders and I don’t get along. I end them instantly when in cer­tain areas, like the bath­room or my bed­room. Find­ing mul­ti­ple spi­ders in my bed after work­ing at the bar = much anger.

I just made a page with links to all of my pro­files amongst the var­i­ous social net­works that I’m a part of. It took me way too long to make the list render prop­erly. I need to prac­tice my CSS more.

Been gone all week­end, haven’t had time to write a post. Prob­a­bly write one tomorrow!

Mind is blown.
